Core Responsibilities
As a General Assistant, your main duty is to support daily food service operations. You will help prepare salads and desserts, place meals on the serving line, and ensure that food stations are clean and well stocked. Other key tasks include cleaning the canteen, recording leftovers, attending handovers, and assisting with stock counts. Responding to customer feedback and assisting new staff during training are also part of the job.
Maintaining Hygiene & Standards
Hygiene and safety are non-negotiable in this role. You will be responsible for ensuring that all food handling meets health regulations and Tsebo’s internal standards. This includes proper cleaning, following safety procedures, and keeping equipment in top condition. Qualifications & Work Conditions
To apply for this position, you must be at least 18 years old and have a matric certificate. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous but not compulsory. This is a full-time role with a 45–50 hour work week, including shifts.
